1. The Aurelia route – 82 km

The longer route, and partly the faster one, covers 82 km via the Aurelia road and will take you to your destination in just under an hour and a half (approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes).

2. The scenic route via Scansano – 68 km

If taking your time and enjoying the scenery is more your style, choose this 68 km route. It takes you through the hills towards Scansano and will also get you to Saturnia in less than an hour and a half (approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes).

Fancy a bite to eat?

Before or after your swim, in less than 10 minutes you can reach Montemerano, a charming medieval village home to the famous Michelin-starred restaurant Da Caino.

But there are also plenty of other places where you can taste traditional Maremman cuisine, from welcoming osterias and taverns to simple local eateries.

Among them, you can enjoy a meal under the pergola at the simple but delicious Il Glicine, or discover Pane e Vino, Passaparola, located in an old olive mill, Il Moro, Il Nibbio and many others.
