SPIAGGIA DELLE CAPANNE IN THE PARK
SPIAGGIA DELLE CAPANNE
A DIP IN THE SEA AT THE HEART OF THE MAREMMA PARK
DID YOU KNOW THAT PRINCIPINA A MARE IS THE NORTHERN GATEWAY TO THE MAREMMA PARK?
You can reach the characteristic Spiaggia delle Capanne and take a dip in the sea within the Maremma Park.
A row of wooden huts, reminiscent of an Indian camp, awaits you, offering shelter and the perfect setting for a relaxing day surrounded by the park’s dunes, natural ponds and beautiful sea.
PERFECT FOR A BIKE RIDE OR A 4.3 KM WALK FROM THE RESIDENCE
DIRECTIONS:
- Take your bicycle or rent one from Franco “VespanoLeggio” and follow the road leading to the bridge across the tourist harbour.
- Continue straight after the bridge until you reach a cycle path leading to Principina a Mare.
- Ride through Principina a Mare (perhaps stopping at a café or supermarket to buy something to eat) and make your way to Lido L’Oasi.
- Park and lock your bicycle, then head towards the sea along the path crossing the dunes.
- Great! You will find a sign telling you that you are about to enter the Maremma Park.
- Read the instructions and warnings carefully. Remember that you are entering a protected natural area, where respecting the rules is essential to preserve its beauty and nature.
- Keep walking until you find a free hut (if you arrive early in the morning), or simply settle down nearby with your own towel and beach umbrella.
- Enjoy a day immersed in nature.
OUR UNSOLICITED (BUT ALREADY-GIVEN!) TIP
Go early in the morning to find your own teepee free and set up camp for the day.
ONE MORE UNSOLICITED TIP
